Man of the Street: Sixth Issue

ISO 160, aperture 8.0, and a shutter speed of 1/250th of a second

So the day all pictures of the newspaper were due, someone on the newspaper staff decided to tell me they needed gray background headshots for "Man on the Street."I took all the headshots with a 17-50mm lens. The headshots were easy to do and the column got finished.

Pool Graphic

ISO 800, aperture 4.0, and a shutter speed of 1/200th of a second

My assignment was to get a picture of the pool, the time board, and the banners. I used a 17-50mm lens. This image was going to be used as the background of a graphic Zac Baker was doing about swimming and some other sports. The graphic Baker did look really awesome, but the newspaper ended up just putting all of the information from the graphic into a bar chart. So this picture wasn't used.

Cover Photo for the Sixth Issue

Caroline Prieskorn took this photo, Sydney and I just edited this image in photoshop with Smith's supervision. This image was used for the cover. Smith was mainly teaching Sydney how to use certain tools on photoshop. We changed the coloring and made the shadow on his right eye disappear.

TTDSD

Sabrina Larson was the person who took this picture, but I was there to help and I was supposed to take the image, but I had to leave and finish my homework. I helped with the angle of this picture. We all figured out how to work the flashes properly and get the lighting right for this image. Getting the knife in focus was the hardest part of this picture. Sabrina did an awesome job and the entire TTDSD folder was amazing.

Check Presentation to the Student Body Officers

ISO 400, aperture 4.0, and a shutter speed of 1/200th of a second

I didn't really know I was going to take this assignment until twenty minutes before it happened. Potter came to me during lunch and told me to be in the math and science building before 11:30 and take a picture of a man presenting a check for prom to the student body officers. I took this image with a 24-105mm lens. I had my settings set correctly along with the 580 flash at 11:30, so I was ready to go! The picture was simple and turned out exactly how Tina wanted it.
