The mechanic and culinary classes were learning how to put out a fire with a fire extinguisher. I used a 17-50m lens and a 580 flash. I enjoyed this newspaper/yearbook assignment because I got to take pictures of fire for the first time. The hardest part was getting the picture exposed correctly because the fire was in a shadow and the people with the extinguisher were in the sunlight.
