Palm Trees and Coconuts

I took this photograph of Emily Speer and John David Goins at the summer STUCO retreat as they were playing the game, palm trees and coconuts. I didn't really know what the point of the game was, I just thought it was funny that they had to jump on their partners back. I knew Emily was photogenic, so I tried to focus on the emotion. I wish I would of gotten more of John David's reaction, but I love happiness shown on Emily's face. In the future, I hope to get better at angles and backgrounds. When I shot the retreat, it was my first time using flash, so I didn't really know what to put the settings on. Luckily, I took this photo at 1600 ISO, 5.0 aperture, and 1/60th of a second with a 17-50 lens.
