All three of these picture were taken at the 9/11 Memorial in New York City. I really love the third picture because the waterfall is blurred and the hand is in focus. I like how there is color and meaning to the picture. I wish I could of gotten the hand that's in focus in the first picture and the flower that's in focus in the second picture, in the same picture. I like the photo where the hand is in focus better than the one where the flower is in focus. That green flower was the only flower that was inserted by someone's name, and I thought that was pretty neat. I used a 50mm lens.

New York City is AMAZING!

This image is a view of the city from Central Park in NYC. I really like this picture because it was such a  beautiful day. We were all extremely exhausted when this picture was taken because we had woken up extremely early to catch a flight to NYC. The photograph is a picture of the city (part of it). I used a 50mm lens.

This image was taken while the publications group was waiting for the ferry to Wall Street. I was bored when I took this image of the flower. These yellow flowers were everywhere in NYC. I love how just one of the flowers are in focus; I like the blurred background. I used a 50mm lens.

This image was taken from the top of the Rockefeller building! It was such an amazing view and we got to see the Empire State Building (the main building in this picture)!!! I used a 50mm lens. I loved all of the lights in this picture. New York City is absolutely amazing at night; all of the colors make it beautiful.

Watty Myers: Field Events

These images were taken extremely early Saturday morning! Luckily these images were in focus. I used a 70-200mm lens for both of these images. I really enjoyed taking pictures of track because these so much action going on, it makes taking photos fun. I love both of these images because of the "stopped" movement of the sand and her hair.

THE State Swim Meet!

This was my first time to take a picture of a swim meet, so I was pretty excited. I was a little rushed to take pictures and make to I kept my body loose for my upcoming events! The state meet had more breaks than a usual swim meet though, that's why I got to take some pictures. The University of Texas at Austin had the best lighting for the pictures. I wish I would of taken my pictures at an aperture of 2.8 since I as using the bigma. This image was the best one that I got, and it's not very good. Hopefully next year I'll be able to go back and have a chance to take some better pictures. Matt Cox isn't really in focus in this photo. :(

Texas High vs. Pleasant Grove soccer

My assignment was to capture an action shot of the Texas High varsity soccer boys for the yearbook. I used a 70-200:2.8mm lens when I took this image. I really like this picture because he's jumping in the air and it looks really neat. Thank goodness I got him in focus!

This was the first soccer game that I got to use the big-ma. The boys varsity game was a little earlier than usual, and right around the time that the sun started to go down. So, since the lightening was constantly changing, it was a little difficult to keep my settings correct. I really like these pictures, even though there isn't a ton of action.
